"You have too many bags" I have heard that sentence few times to be honest.
And maybe it is true.
I always have loved bags, I think I got that from my Mom.
She always had a certain amount of those pieces in her wardrobe, she loves to change, to coordinate them with her outfit. And sometimes she get bored and I am the one adopting a new fashion baby into my own wardrobe.
And it is true, a bag can be an amazing outfit finisher?
I think so, but for me it is way more.
The finishing touch
You get dressed, your outfit can be simple, sober, and suddenly a particular design or color will give another mood to the all outfit. The type of boost that feels like magic and finish nicely your whole silhouette for the day.
Imagine wearing simple denim and black tshirt.
Paired with an elegant pouch and stilettos, you look elegant. Maybe getting yourself ready for an afterwork cocktail.
Paired with a simple, impeccable, structured leather bag and boots with heels, you look professional. Maybe you are busy managing a project, maybe you a ready to enter your next meeting.
Paired with a colorful bag with playful texture, you look spontaneous and free. Maybe you are going to meet your friends for a coffee or in your way to the mall.
Paired with a raffia bag with fringe and a pair of sandal, you look casual and relax. Maybe ready to start your holiday or a romantic getaway with your partner.

A powerful accessory
We just talked about how the bag can be an amazing finishing piece.
But why is it so powerful?
The bag is the most strategic piece in an outfit.
Unlike clothes, a bag depends on way less variable.
It doesn't depend on your body shape or size. If you lose or gain 5 kg it will not impact your bag and usage of it.
Most of the time it doesn't depend on the weather either. I say most of the time because some material can require a particuliar attention.
It doesn't require a sizing and unless you are going for some specific brands with a waiting list that could take years usually the bag you want will be in store.
If you favor quality, and care for it a bag will stay with you for years easily.
The material are more resistant than clothing. They combine structure, design and function.
A second home
I don't know what you all are carrying in yours but mine sure looks like a second home.
Wallet. Phone. Keys.
Those are the basics but I carry way more.
Pack of tissue, anti bacteria spray or gel, mint, pocket hand towel, eyedrop, pens, small notebook, earphone, some things to freshen up and sometimes even some makeup.
It is literally my support when I am outside of home.
I literally have a drawer at home only for my bag contents. It is completely organized with all the things I need to put in or out. Candies, tissues, small perfume bottles, hand cream, anti bacteria gel, deodorant, lingettes, pens, also foreign currencies, medical book,...
But that is for another story another time.
